16th Sept Update:- CM transferred Rs 536.77 crore in cash aid to more then 3.57 lakh women
On September 16, the YSR Kapu Nestham initiative in Nidadavolu, East Godavari district, witnessed the distribution of 536.77 crore in financial assistance to more than 3.57 lakh women from the Kapu, Balija, Ontari, and Telaga communities. Through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, the funds were electronically transferred to individual accounts by a simple button press. The beneficiaries, aged between 45 and 60, are entitled to an annual aid of 15,000 rupees each. Mr. Reddy highlighted that among the 2.06 lakh government jobs filled in the last four years, 9.5% are occupied by candidates from the Kapu community.
